The nominees for the Game Awards have just been announced and Nintendo is already at the top of the list when it comes to nominations!

Today, the nominations for the Game Awards have been announced! Of course, as every year, some have already begun to debate which games would have deserved the nomination and which, on the contrary, have been overestimated. In between, others are more pleased with certain appointments and are interested in the top publishers in the number of appointments. This year, Nintendo takes the credit, with 15 nominations!


 Nintendo takes the place of PlayStation this year

Nintendo is slightly ahead of PlayStation,  in second place, receiving 13 nominations:  less than Big N 2. Last year, PlayStation was  ahead with 20 nominations, while its Japanese rival had only 11. Competition is growing tighter and Nintendo was able to catch up. on par with Sony's video game industry with 5 games and 1 film nominated. Note that Nintendo touches on more specific nominations such as strategy games, adaptations or family games. What’s more, with this more quantitative approach, Nintendo is well positioned for Game of the Year title with two nominees: Super Mario Bros. Wonder and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Two out of six chances against only one for PlayStation with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The other three nominees for Game of the Year are Baldur’s Gate III, Alan Wake 2 and Resident Evil 4. Also, when it comes to strategy and simulation games, Nintendo completely dominates with three of the five games that are nominated.
