According to well-known fugitive Daniel Richtman , not only will the next game not be released in 2024, but it will also present a "darker" and "more violent" tone than the studio's previous games.

As for the location, it must be set in Madripoor, a Southeast Asian city within the Marvel universe. The city has long been known as a “haven for pirates” after being built on the back of a dragon.

Although no release date has been confirmed by Insomniac or Sony, one thing is known is that Wolverine is in the same universe as the studio’s Spider-Man games.

At launch, Wolverine will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive, similar to the aforementioned Spider-Man titles.
